Meredith Eads
Meredith Eads is the licensed, Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA, LBA) on the Your Home Haven team. She completes assessments with families and individuals to identify in-home supports that facilitate independence, encourage communication, and reduce sensory stressors and support effective transitions during home moves and renovations. Meredith collaborates with the realtor and designer on the team to use those assessments to guide home buying and design to meet the family’s needs.
Meredith has 20 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in their homes, schools and communities. She specializes in applying behavior principles to teaching communication, and independent-living skills. Meredith is committed to person-centered planning and developing opportunities for meaningful (and fun!) work and community opportunities for the individuals she serves.
Born and raised in Maine, Meredith attended Sweet Briar College and has called Virginia home ever since. She earned her master’s degree in Special Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed Behavior Analytic coursework through Florida Institute of Technology. Meredith has lived in the Richmond region for over twenty years, and has been an active member of the Virginia Association of Applied Behavior Analysis and has long supported the Autism Society of Central Virginia. Meredith is a wife and mother to a feisty teenager who helps to keep her grounded and humble. She is an avid reader and traveler, and is sits on the Alumnae Alliance Council of Sweet Briar College.
